Madame Tussauds Just Stop Oil protesters attack King Charles III waxwork

Just Stop Oil activists have been filmed throwing chocolate cake into the face of King Charles’s waxwork at London’s Madame Tussauds.

Shocking video footage uploaded on Twitter shows two protesters slamming the desserts into the monarch’s wax figure.

A woman out of shot can be heard shouting at the activists to “stop” to no avail.

But despite witnesses begging them to stop, the eco-warriors continue with their shocking act.

One Just Stop Oil activist can be seen proudly posing next to the defaced waxwork as custard drips everywhere.

Eilidh McFadden, 20, and Tom Johnson 29, a painter decorator, bought tickets and stepped over the rope barrier shortly after 10.30am (8.30pm AEDT) on Monday, The Sun reported.

King Charles III is a committed environmentalist.

He has a long history of campaigning for better conservation, organic farming and tackling climate change.

When Britain hosted the COP26 climate summit in Scotland last year, he gave the opening speech, urging world leaders seated in front of him to redouble their efforts to confront global warming.

London’s Metropolitan Police confirmed four people have been arrested for criminal damage in relation to the incident.

“We responded quickly to an incident at Madame Tussauds after two people threw food at a statue at approximately 10.50am,” police said.

It comes after a recent attack by Just Stop Oil on Van Gogh’s “Sunflowers”.
