Pet Parent Takes His Sick Canine On Their Last Mountain Hike In A Wheel-Barrow

A ten-year-old Labrador canine named Monty loved to walk and had visited the Brecon Beacons, a mountain range in South Wales. The canine had visited this mountain range many times in the past few years along with his pet-parent, Carlos Fresco. They together have summited three peaks in the mountain ranges.

When the canine became sick and started to slow down, Carlos decided to take the canine to the Beacons one more time on a wheel-barrow. Carlos decided to do this so that he and his canine could summit the mountain ranges together one last time.

Recently, Carlos and Monty went up to the peak of Pen-Y-Fan together. The canine reached the top of the mountain with the help of a wheel-barrow. During their trip, many hikers stopped to say hello and meet Monty.

While speaking to South Wales News Service (SWNS), Carlos stated that even though Monty was weak, he enjoyed all the fuss and attention that he received by so many well-wishers.  The people that they encountered were kind and were equally disheartened to know about the canine’s deteriorating health condition.

There were people, total strangers to Carlos, who offered to help him push the wheel-barrow for Monty. There were many strangers who got emotional and even cried on knowing about the canine’s condition.
